FESTIVAL LEZARTS URBAINS

Let the countdown begin: in April 2022 Festival Lezarts Urbains will be taking over KVS for its seventeenth edition. Mark Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April in your diaries. Many artists worked hard to create unforgettable performances. And what a joy that will be. The festival offers a tasting platter of the rich 'urban' arts landscape in Belgium. Throughout the whole weekend it presents a host of creations, styles and techniques, from short choreographic showcases to fully finished performances, from amateur crews and dance schools to up-and-coming artists and professional companies. This year, rap and slam are also given a platform, with as added bonus performances by promising emerging artists. One thing is certain: KVS will shake and shimmy!

In 2021, Lezarts Urbains made waves elsewhere with the announcement of Level Up, a professionalisation platform for rappers, slammers and dancers. These participating artists will be part of the festival programme and will showcase their latest creations throughout the weekend.
